 The wait is finally over!
After years of waiting, the ground has finally broken on Wichita Falls High School's NEW, state-of-the-art weight training facility.
The project has been a long-standing hope for WFHS and awaited approval by the school district and city council. Once given the green light by the city to close down a portion of Bell St. and resolving logistical issues, the ground finally broke last month. Below you can find images just after the ground breaking taken in April 2008 and recent images taken in mid-May. April 27, 2008  Here is the first photo taken April 27, 2008 with the east section of parking lot totally removed.
Concrete that was previously piled up had already been hauled off by the time these photos were taken. 
This is the section of Bell Street on the east side of the building that has been closed with the addition of the new facility. 
This view is taken from Avenue H, behind the fence that sections off the construction site. May 16, 2008 UPDATE  The dirt has been levelled off and a few mounds are visible. Some framing is visible in this photo.
 A fleet of construction vehicles are visible to lay the ground work for building the facility.
